Elizabeth Catlett @ Regina Miller Gallery.
I don't usually do this kind of thing... but the request was just so polite:
"The Regina Gouger Miller Gallery presents the works of famed artist and sculptor Elizabeth Catlett in a special, two-day exhibition May 17-18. The gallery, located on the Carnegie Mellon University campus, will be open both days from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Catletts exhibit, which features more than two dozen of her figurative lithographs, serigraphs and bronze sculptures, coincides with her acceptance of an honorary doctorate of fine arts degree from Carnegie Mellon on Sunday, May 18.
Catlett has been described as the foremost African American woman artist of her generation. Many of Catletts works are in the collections of the worlds most distinguished art museums.
